Nigeria Elected to UN Security Council

Nigeria was recently elected to sit on the U.N. Security Council. Other countries that won seats on the Security Coucil include Brazil, Bosnia, Lebanon and Gabon. Nigeria and the other newly elected nations will serve there two yaer terms on the Security Council starting on January 1, 2010.
