Arik Air commences direct flight from New York to Lagos with special promotional fare

Arik Air, Nigeria’s leading commercial airline, has commenced scheduled operations today with the only direct flight available between New York, JFK and Lagos departing from JFK T4 tonight at 22.00. To mark the occasion, Arik is offering a special launch promotional fare of USD 300 plus taxes.

The booking period for this introductory fare for is for a limited period of one week, from Monday 30 November to Saturday 5 December with outbound travel from New York to Lagos occurring between Monday 30 November and Friday 11 December inclusively. Arik Air operates three weekly services scheduled from New York to Lagos on Monday, Wednesday and Friday departing JFK Terminal 4 at 22.00 and arriving at 14.40 (following day). Inbound services from Lagos Murtala Muhammed Airport operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday departing at 23.20 arriving in JFK at 05.50 (following day).

The Lagos – New York – Lagos route is serviced by an Airbus A340-500, fitted with the very best in in-flight comfort and style. Premier Class passengers have individual secluded booth areas with fully flat beds featuring a new generation in-built massage system complete with a hand held 3.5” inch LD screen unit controlling seat and lighting functions with integrated 17” touch screen TV.

In addition, those flying in Premier Class can enjoy the on-board bar lounge facility and relax and freshen up in the airport business class lounge – “The Lounge” at JFK T4 – both on departing and arriving flights.

The Economy Class cabin format provides a new, more comfortable experience as passengers benefit from an extra 50% leg room in the spacious cabin.

Passengers can also take advantage of Arik’s generous checked baggage allowance – 3 x 30kgs bags in Premier Class and 2 x30kgs in Economy Class – the largest allowance available.
